The Role
The Senior Content copywriter supports the development of content marketing for different platforms including but not limited to ad copies, PR articles, social media content, newsletters, and school brochures. The role will work with different internal stakeholders, gathering/collecting information from them to generate engaging and relevant content to build the story that our audiences will connect with.
Your Responsibilities
- In charge of content writing for social media platforms for different groups of audiences: parents, under-graduate students, post-graduate students, alumni, etc. This scope will require him/her to work closely with Digital team. Preferred candidate is encouraged to have insights about parent group and post-graduate study.
- Take lead for developing PR plan for specific projects, campaigns and develop the PR articles in that plan accordingly.
- Develop short-form copy for print ads or digital ads, and long-form copy for other marketing materials such publication/brochures, newsletter, landing page content, web content…
- Work with KOLs or influencers, student ambassadors, alumni for generating relevant & high engagement content.
- Research, understand and respond to digital trends, audience segments and their behaviour and motivations to come up with ideas, initiatives for content marketing.
- Overlook the distribution of content through the university’s established online channels and traditional platforms that Marketing owns; making sure contents across touchpoints aligned with RMIT’s key communication messages & content guideline.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including academic staffs, students, press, publishers, key opinion leaders, influencers etc., to curate and deliver relevant content.
- Work with & supervise part-time content contributors in content execution for different online channels.
- Has knowledge of SEO.
Skills and Experience
- A degree in a discipline relevant to this position such as marketing, communications, public relations, journalism.
- At least two years of relevant experience in content planning and content development for multi-digital platforms, especially social media. Experience in working with social influencers is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate with different stakeholders
- Ability to effectively prioritize and deliver against multiple deadlines
