[HCM][Agency] TBWA\ Group Vietnam: Strategic Planning Director

   Job title: Strategic Planning Director

Report to: CEO, Dotted line: GM. 

Overview:

o The primary responsibility of the Strategic Planning Director is to ensure that all the works done by the agency has a strong strategic foundation and be able to offer high-value consultancy to our clients. 

Require tasks:

o Participate (or delegate members of planning team) in client’s briefing sessions.

o Identify and execute the best approach/methodology for obtaining relevant consumer insights/data, category information and macro trends (quantitative and qualitative) that are relevant to the brief. 

o Analyze data/insights from the research and come up with strategic direction to guide creative development (formulate creative briefs). 

o Brief creative teams on project’s requirements and oversee the development of creative ideas. Follow through the ideation process, ensure proposal are cohesive and aligned with the pre-set objectives of the project and the strategic direction. 

o Develop strategy proposal; and determine, when needed, measurable KPIs for marketing communications campaigns. This usually requires a close collaboration among planners, media expert/agencies and market research agencies. 

o Present strategic plans to client; consult and help them finding the right approach to fulfill their business’ objectives. 

o Develop a strong working relationship between planning team and other departments in the agency (especially with account, creative).

o Keep agency updated on TBWA’s global strategic initiatives/tools; and provide VN insights and strategic inputs for global/regional pitches. 

o Mentoring and supporting young strategic talents in the team.

Requirements:

o Approximately 8-year experience as a planner/account in Ads/IMC agencies; or equivalent Brand Marketing experience from the client-side. 

o Possess a strong strategic thinking capability. 

o Deeply understand all marketing communications platforms (especially the emerging digital and social ones); and able to ensure that our plans are integrated and scalable.

o Strong research and analytical skills; can synthesize different data/inputs to create a succinct and accurate roadmap/direction.

o Business-driven mindset, passionate to use strategic creativity to help businesses thrive. 

o Excellent presentation skill, able to influence decision makers and drive success for our business presentation. 

o A rational thinker. 

o Strong leadership skill.
