Data journalist – who are you?
Data Journalist is who work with data and tell it in an interesting, digestible story.
You will use your storytelling and analytical skills to turn a dataset results in a compelling story/blog/article. It is about providing solid analysis and insight for stories.

What you will be doing?
Your job is through a process of roughly 60% finding, analyzing and mashing up the data, 40% doing the fun stuff of visualizing and presenting it in a compelling story.

Finding, analyzing and mashing up the data (60%)

Following and gathering social news, trends to identify the potential stories
-
Seriously tidying up the dataset reserved for other next projects
-
Analyzing, and occasionally combine diverse datasets
-
Finding the data from a variety of sources both internal (social listening data) and external
-
Visualizing and presenting it in an insightful story (40%)
-
Simplifying and effectively communicating complex ideas in writing and through data visualization.

Making a story last across channels (website, Facebook, webinar, whitepaper, email marketing …)

Be able to produce consistently high-quality content on a schedule, react quickly to breaking news events, and manage time and workload independently.
Requirement

Have bachelor degree in Economics, Marketing or Business

Be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint

Have strong data analysis skills and the ability to dig out big-picture stories. (Experience with Google Analytics, WordPress, SQL, Google trend, SEO is a plus)

Have a good nose for current social trends, issues or events and how they affect the market and consumers at large.

Have strong written communication skills both in Vietnamese and English

Have experience writing data-driven articles or reports

Be able to visualize data (knowing Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator is a plus)

Have a passion for making complicated subjects easy to understand

Have a great can-do attitude

Be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
