We Create Content is a content marketing agency. With bespoke content concepts, production, distribution and measurement, we help brands tell stories to meet their business objectives.

Overview

As a videographer, you will work closely with Creative Director and Production Manager to conceptualise, film , edit videos for WCC and our clients.

Video Editor Job Duties

• Is involved in concept brainstorming off the back of receiving client briefs
• Meet with the director to understand the vision for the film and create storyboards / narratives
• Make visits to the locations (when possible) during filming
• Shooting
• Go through footage once shooting is done, and select scenes based on their dramatic and entertainment value and contribution to story continuity. The videographer and editor is looking for the best combination of photography, performance, consistency and timing
• Trim the segments of footage to the lengths needed for the film and assemble them into the best sequence to tell the story
• Suggest and select suitable music for videos
• Insert music, dialogue and sound effects, using editing equipment
• Review the edited film, make corrections and prepare it as a first cut, or rough cut, for Directors and Production Manager to view
• Make revisions, as requested by the director and producers, and prepare the final cut for release

Additional tasks include

• Oversee the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing;
• Experiment with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements and animations;
• Write script, voiceover or commentary;
• Experiment with filming

Qualifications

• High commitment and determination to get into this industry
• Have the necessary skills or media production experience may be helpful. The following subjects are relevant:
• communication and media studies;
• fine art/visual art;
• graphic design;
• information technology/multimedia;
• photography/film/television;
• Proficient in using specific editing software packages such as Avid, Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro

• communication skills, written and oral in both English and Vietnamese.
